The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), together with other concerned agencies, remains committed in delivering services as it rolled out the Part 3 of the Hatid Tulong Program last October 19, 2020 at CCP Complex, Pasay City. The said program is part of the national government’s initiative of assisting and transporting the Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) in Metro Manila back to their home provinces.
The DSWD through its Disaster Response Management Bureau (DRMB) leads the Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) Cluster, Food and Non-Food Item (FNFI) Cluster, and Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Protection Cluster for the Hatid Tulong Program. The DSWD were able to provide around 150 LSIs Family Food Packs, sleeping kits, hygiene kits, and pre-departure financial assistance amounting to P2,000.
